EstateHounder ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. We use this to identify your account and personalize your experience.
Research history. When you identify an item, we save the item name, AI-generated research result, and the photo you uploaded. This is stored so you can access your history across devices.
Shopping list. Items you add to your shopping list, including asking prices and discounts, are saved to your account.
Usage data. We track how many research credits you have used. We do not track detailed usage analytics or sell behavioral data.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the EstateHounder service. Specifically:
• To save and sync your research history and shopping list across devices
• To manage your credit balance and membership plan
• To send you important account-related communications
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Photos you upload are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for identification and appraisal. Anthropic processes these images in accordance with their own privacy policy. We store a copy of your uploaded photo linked to your account for your research history.
We recommend not uploading photos containing sensitive personal information.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
When you are not signed in, your research history and shopping list are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data is not sent to our servers.
We use the following third-party services:
• Google OAuth — for sign in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API — for AI item identification. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — for database storage. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — for hosting. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
You have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your research history

EstateHounder is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email.
